New York City wine drinkers can rejoice: there’s now a wine fridge at the very end of your table.
Keto Wine was created by two New York-based entrepreneurs who decided to combine their love of beer and food to create a wine bar that’s perfect for the weekend.
Their vision was to make wine from local, organic ingredients, while offering the same high quality for a price.
“I’ve been making wine since I was 5 years old, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to make more and more of it,” said co-founder Sam Choy.
“My mother and I had this amazing experience when we first started making wine in my backyard.
We’d take wine from the river, put it in the fridge, and we’d cook it.”
The results were amazing: they were able to produce a lot of wine from just one bottle.
And it was great for the health of the farm, because it kept the bacteria and viruses in check.
The new wine fridge is open to the public, and it’s also stocked with a selection of wines and beers, including some that are 100% local.
“We want people to come in, feel the food, and taste the wine,” said Choy, “and then make their own decisions.
We hope that we can keep that spirit going.”
In fact, there are now only five bottles left.
But that’s not stopping the couple from looking forward to the future.
They’ve already raised over $50,000 to fund the first bottle, and they’re looking to expand the range to offer more varieties.
And if you’re not a fan of the beer, there’s plenty of other food to choose from.
For example, they’ve created a beer and cheese sandwich called “Cheesesteak” that’s made from scratch in New York, and can be ordered with either local cheese or fresh baked bread.
The food will be served on the patio, so you can eat while watching the sunset.
The two will also be working on a wine tasting menu, which will include some of the best local wines available.
And the best part?
This new wine bar will be open to everyone in the city.
“It’s going to be a space for all types of people, from people who like to eat food, to people who don’t like to drink wine, to everybody,” said the co-founders.
“This is going to serve everybody.”
So get out there and pick up a bottle or two of this awesome food and wine.
